We’ve had this about 6 months and just saw where it dropped to $20 at Walmart and Amazon the other day. Add about $15 for rechargeable AA batteries (6) and a charger. Maisto Rock Crawler.
If you’re not expecting speeds over 2mph or waterproofing, it’s just amazing. It’s no $250+ Traxxas, but wow.
Approach/departure angles are basically 90 degrees. Breakover is like...more than you need. Articulation is insane.
Side note: This is my side yard. This exposed Appalachian sandstone bedrock is over 200 million years old (The Grand Canyon is about 8-10 million years old). With the right perspective, just playing in the yard can be humbling.

There’s a lot of rock like that around if you know where to look. Makes for great crawling locations too!

For something with that kind of price point, that looks like cheap fun to me! Thanks for the tip!

Awesome! I have two young nephews that think I’m the cool uncle so I have to deliver. To be honest I was actually considering a traxxas for the older of the two. I’m going to have to scoop two of these. Do they come in different colors?

There are a few, but unless you find them in store, it’s supposedly a crapshoot. I mean, you won’t get Hello Kitty Pink (damn!), but red, green, the usuals.
Amazon’s everyday price is ~$29, which isn’t bad at all.

Only fun when you have something to crawl over. My father-in-law bought one for my son. He was bored with it before the first recharge. I tried creating obstacles for him with rocks and logs. His general general response? “Meh.”
We got more mileage from the 1/4 scale R/C jeep. His favorite mode of play was to grab the roll bars and push it as fast as he could around the house while making “vroooooom” noises. No batteries required.

There are still ruts in my old neighbor’s yard where I would jump my Team Losi XXX-T through his ditch at 30 miles an hour. Fun times.
